A French ski mountaineer

Pierre Gignoux born 19 May 1967

Inspired by the surrounding mountains our Mountain boot is the first carbon boots ever dedicated for ski mountaineering competition. A carbon shell makes the new Gignoux Mountain an exceptionally lightweight high-performance ski mountaineering boot. At just 2400 grams, it's the lightest ski mountaineering boot to be manufactured in France to date.

The weight reduction was achieved primarily through the use of a new carbon shell, which is 30% lighter than the shell of the Gignoux Competition. It combines a three-buckle closure system with a carbon cuff, a Pebax spoiler and a sole made from Grilamid.

The boot is designed to appeal to ski mountaineers who want a lightweight high-performance boot, and the company says it's ideal for both racing and touring.
