Southgate names final 26-man squad for tournament in Germany

England manager Gareth Southgate has named his final 26-man squad for this summer's UEFA EURO 2024 tournament in Germany.

The Three Lions will face Serbia, Denmark, and Slovenia in Group C, with the tournament running from Friday, June 14 to Sunday, July 14. Semi-finals will take place in Munich and Dortmund on July 9 and 10 and one question is on the lips of every Three Lions fan and detractor – if not now, when?

England's squad includes a number of experienced players, such as captain Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling, and Jordan Henderson. There are also several new faces in the squad, including Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

Southgate said he is "excited" about the squad he has selected and believes England can make a strong run in the tournament.
"We have a good mix of experience and youth in the squad, and I think we have the potential to be a real threat in this tournament," he said.
"We know it will be a tough challenge, but we are confident in our ability to go all the way."

England will begin their Euro 2024 campaign against Serbia on June 14. They will then face Denmark on June 18 and Slovenia on June 22.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage.
